Multi-channel compression

Omid’s professional encoder supports multi-channel compression simultaneously. This feature means that multiple audio and video inputs can be received at the same time, and all of them can be compressed and transmitted without compromising the original video quality. With this capability, the encoder can simultaneously compress one 4K input, four Full HD or HD inputs, or even eight SD inputs. This feature can be used in locations where there is a need to compress multiple content streams, such as television broadcast centers.

Internal Multiplexer

Omid’s compressor is equipped with an internal multiplexer, which significantly simplifies the data transmission process. This technology is responsible for combining multiple signals simultaneously and converting them into a single, unified signal. All incoming signals received by the internal multiplexer are aggregated and transmitted as one powerful signal. The reason for combining all signals into a single unified signal is to reduce transmission costs and save time, thereby providing a better experience for users and audiences.

By using **Statistical Multiplexing (Statmux)**, significant savings in bandwidth consumption can be achieved, drastically reducing costs. This technology allocates the available bandwidth efficiently to each video stream, ensuring that each input receives only the bandwidth it requires. Global standards

To deliver suitable and visually appealing quality for audiences, the latest global standards have been utilized in Omid’s multi-channel encoder. For optimal image compression, the **HEVC/H.265** and **MPEG-4/H.264** coding standards have been employed. Alongside image compression, audio must also be compressed to provide a complete package. For audio compression, **AAC** and **MPEG L2** encoding standards will be used.
